The performance of Anton Dvorak's Carnival Overture accompanied by the rarely performed romantic Roman Carnival Overture by Hector Berlioz, brought smiles to many faces. This concert featured the winds section performing the classical gem,Carnaval , by Thomas Stone with guest conductor Allan Halbert.

Dr. Mark Perlman, Associate Conductor, joined the symphony with costumes and quips as the narrator of Saint-Saëns beloved "Carnival of the Animals". Two piano soloists by Dianne Davies and May Wong along with a variety of musicians provided a musical snapshot of various animals for children of all ages.

Victory at Sea arranged by R. Rodgers; Titanic; Song of the Sea and more. Bernie Kuehn was our special guest conductor for Psalm and Fugue Opus40a for strings by Hovhaness. A Salute to the Big Bands, arranged by Calvin Custer, was dedicated to Cornell Estates in celebration of their 20th anniversary.

The world premiere of Tango Symphony composed by Dr. Jeffery Olenick and a medley of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers dance tunes, arranged by Dave Robertson were crowd pleasures at this concert. Also featured were Shostakovich's Piano Concerto #2 with a special piano soloist by Dianne Davies.
